Listening to your Intuition

How many times have you said to yourself, "oh I wish I had of listened to my gut feelings!!". We all do it, we get that inner knowing but then don't actually listen and go ahead or do the exact opposite and then when it doesn't turn out, we think, I knew it wouldn't! lol

I have been a great one for doing this exact same thing. For some reason I have the knowing, I can feel the intuition but then my mind thinks it knows better and I will go against myself, only to get a very valuable lesson thrown back at me. It has a lot to do, also with letting go of control. Your intuition will know, if you just stand back, it will still unfold as it should, but many times we like to 'control' the outcome.

It seems I love to go about the things the long way or the hard way, when if I had of listened to my intuition in the first place I could have saved myself so much time and grief. I can see you reading this and nodding your head in agreement! You know you have done this yourself.

One thing I have found very valuable in helping myself to listen, is when I have a problem I would like to work out, I meditate on it. What I see or feel in meditation is what is true for me. What I see or feel in my mind can be confusing if I am overthinking something.

I have also learnt, if you are not sure what to do, then do nothing. Wait. Even a few more days may bring the clarification needed to see more clearly. You do know when you get that niggling feeling something isn't right. If you ignore it, you will get a stone thrown at you, ignore it more you will get a brick thrown at you, ignore that and you will end up hitting the brick wall. How many lessons must you get thrown at you before you stop and listen to your intuition.

If you are not sure if it is your intuition or your thoughts, just take 5 minutes of deep breathing, relax your shoulders, relax your mind, lose all focus and just sit with your problem. If your intuition says No but you really want to hear yes, you will know you are going against yourself, or vice versa. When your intuition is at it's strongest you will feel a 'knowing' inside you that you are 100% sure of and no matter what any one else says to try and deter you, you will still know how it will unfold and where you will be when it does.
